Learning Center
Spartanburg County School District Four is pleased to offer additional academic options, supports, and programs for continued student success at the Learning Center. The Spartanburg County School District Four Learning Center is located at 706 Cross Anchor Road, Woodruff, SC 29388
(next to Woodruff High School).
While at the Learning Center, students in grades 6-12 continue their academic progress through Apex Learning, a nationally recognized online curriculum used
for instruction. Students are able to access the same core subjects as well as various electives. In addition to Apex Learning, students also use MY Access, an online writing instruction and assessment program that provides immediate scores and continual feedback. Students work toward grade level course requirements under the supervision of certified teachers.
Students may be referred to the Learning Center for the following programs:
Wolverine Express: This program allows students to accelerate the completion of their High School Diploma. The program is offered between 8:30am and 3:00pm daily.
Wolverine Learning-Woodruff High School: A referral to this program may be a result of disciplinary consequences for violating the Woodruff High School Discipline Codes. The referral will be for various lengths of time and based on individual circumstances. The program operates under the Spartanburg County School District 4 Proficiency Plan.
Cub Learning-Woodruff Middle School: A referral to this program may be a result of disciplinary consequences for violating the Woodruff Middle School Discipline Codes. The referral will be for various lengths of time and based on individual circumstances. The program operates under the Defined Program for Grades 6-8 (as set forth in S.C. Code Ann. Regs. 43-232)
Other Conditions: Students with health conditions may receive educational services at the Learning Center with appropriate diagnosis by and documentation from a physician.
