Gifted Art
2008-09
Gifted Art is a program for the
gifted and talented art students. The district holds
portfolio tryouts each year in the Spring.
Gifted Art meets on the
following days 3-4:45pm:
Aug.
Sept. Oct. Nov. Dec. Jan. Feb: FRIDAYS
March
April May: TUESDAYS & FRIDAYS
Students are required to meet certain project requirements and
sketchbook requirements to remain in Gifted Art.
Rules and Info:
- You
must complete the minimum requirements stated on your outline sheet or you
may be placed on probation or dropped from the program
- You
should attend 20 meetings or more or you may be placed on probation or dropped from
the program; if you are
playing a sport, or if you have another extracurricular activity you may
have to work on projects at home
- Understand
that you are coming to Gifted Art to learn and create art
(excessive socializing, horse playing, lack of effort, etc. will not
be tolerated).
- You
must report to my classroom directly after school (I will dismiss for
snacks).
- Your
child may bring his or her own snacks each Gifted Day or purchase snacks at
WMS. I will have sodas and
snacks that
students may purchase for $0.50. You must bring change and/or one-dollar bills;
I will not be
able to make change for you for higher bills.
NO $5 bills, $10, etc.
- You may
be dropped if your behavior is not acceptable
- You
must have transportation available or must have permission to walk
- Regular
school rules apply
- All
artwork will be held until the end of the year for evaluation and art shows
