Awesome Stories This site offers relevant links to pictures, documents, manuscripts, artifacts and other primary sources covering a wide range of  topics. You must register for it, but it is free for educators.
Back Flip You can now bookmark your favorite sites on the web using Back Flip and retrieve them from any computer. You can also check out popular links of the day.

The Big6 Explains the Big6 approach to research. Teach your students to research in steps using higher level thinking skills using the Big6 skills.

Blue Web'n This collection of outstanding educational internet sites can be searched by subject area, grade or format and provides great lesson plans and ideas. Be sure to check more than once as new sites area added all the time.

Discovery School This page offers a collection of useful sites to help teachers. You will find everything from links according to subjects, classroom activities and lesson plans and learning adventures to a puzzle maker, games, brain boosters, science project ideas, webmath and clip art.

Eduhound This site is a comprehensive educational directory to the web.

Edutopia Online This George Lucas Educational Foundation provides numerous ideas, articles, research and resources as well as video streaming to keep you up to date on the educational community.

Google Scholar From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations. Google Scholar helps you identify the most relevant research across the world of scholarly research.
History Channel This site provides classroom activities/ideas, sound/video clips (including speeches), and this day in history as well as their TV lineup. They also have a travel page featuring interesting historically important places.

inet library/inet classroom This is the companion site to Classworks. It includes a teacher zone, parent zone and kids zone where you will find resources, lesson plans, web quests and a curriculum builder. Ask Mrs. Hitchcock for username and password.
Knowitall.org This SCETV site has wonderful resources from virtual tours of historical places, national parks and ecosystems to interactive games, online magazines, Gullah stories and music and slide and video collections. All sites state which SC standards they are connected to as well as providing additional materials. Be sure to check out the Outside Sites and Tools for Educators as well.

Library of Congress Check out the online collections at the top of the page. American Memory supplies incredible primary sources and America's Library is a fun site for kids to explore information.

Media Literacy Clearinghouse An amazing resource that covers all media literacy topics including advertising, commercialism and the news.

NASA for Kids Looking for space info or lesson ideas? While you are at it check out the other Cool NASA Sites at the bottom of the page.  Also math teachers be sure to follow the NASA link on the Knowitall.org site and find out about the inquiry and standards based series of mathematical - focused instructional programs.
