FCA, The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, was an idea that had been in founder Don McClanen's heart ever since 1947 when McClanen was a student at what is now Oklahoma State. FCA became official in November of 1964. Today, FCA is touching millions of lives, one heart at a time. FCA is the largest Christian sports ministry in America, and FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering, and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.
Some of the attributes that make FCA unique are:
The FCA vision is, "To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches." We accomplish this through the mission, which is, "To present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church." Our relationships will demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity, Serving, Teamwork, and Excellence.
