Personal counseling: Students are led to increase personal growth, self-understanding and and maturity.
Career and educational counseling: Students are
· led to evaluate their aptitudes, abilities, and interests.
· led to develop educational and occupational plans.
· provided information about post-secondary educational institutions in which they express interest.
· given information about the process of getting ready for college and how to apply for financial aid and scholarships.
· provided information about job opportunities (summer, part-time, and full-time).
· Provided access to SCOIS (South Carolina Occupational Information System), a computerized method of delivering up-to-date career, educational, and occupational information. Students may access this information in guidance, the library, or the computer lab. Students are encouraged to access the Career Information Center located in guidance as they make educational and career plans.
