French
1 is a beginning level French class, designed for students who have never taken
a foreign language. French 1 students learn the basic uses of the language and
learn the basics of what is acceptable in French culture.
When students complete French 1, they have a good understanding of the
uses and structure of French grammar, as well as knowledge about the French
lifestyle.
French
2 is a class for students who have successfully completed French 1 and want to
learn more about language usage. Students
in French 2 are expected to really use the language and to gain a better
understanding of grammatical structures. French 2 students also learn about the history of France, as
well as cultural holidays celebrated by the French.
French
3 is a class for students who have successfully completed French I and II.
Students are only admitted on the recommendation of the teacher.
Students in French 3 really use the language in exploring the arts,
history, culture, and literature of France.
