Additional PracticeUnder Lesson Resources you will find Extra Examples, Self-Check Quizzes, Calculator Tips and much more. Under Chapter Resources you will find Vocabulary Reviews, Practice Tests, Standardized Test Practice and even a Problem of the Week. In
addition to all of these great resources the website also houses an
online edition of the textbook, just in case you leave your book at
school. To view the
textbook online you will need Adobe
Acrobat® ReaderTM
Version 4.05 or later. If
you do not have this software, you can download it free from www.adobe.com.
You will also need a User Name and Password.

Extra Credit OpportunitiesSelf-Check
Quizzes are
available for each Section in the book and usually consist of five
questions each. Chapter
Tests are available for each Chapter in the book and usually
consist of fifteen to twenty questions each.
Each time you select a Self-Check Quiz link or Chapter
Test link a new set of questions should appear; therefore, you can
practice different questions from each section until you feel you have
mastered the concept. At
the end of each quiz and test you will be given the opportunity to
email your results to me. You
must include your name, your email address and my email address (glyda@spartanburg4.org).
If you do not have an email address you can obtain a free email
address from websites such as www.yahoo.com
or www.hotmail.com. Throughout each nine weeks I will keep a record of the scores on the Self-Check Quizzes and Chapter Tests that you send to me. Extra Credit must be limited in some way; therefore, I can only accept one Self-Check Quiz per Section that we cover and one Chapter Test per Chapter that we cover. Feel free to complete as many as you would like but email your best results to me. At the end of each nine weeks I will average your Extra Credit Grades and adjust your Nine Weeks Average by adding additional points to your average as follows:
