Class Rules

1.  At the sound of the bell, you must be in your desk, not the lab area.

2.  No talking during class, except during labs.

3.  No talking during an announcement or when the instructor is talking.

4. All students will remain in their desks or at their lab stations until class is dismissed. The bell is only a signal.

5.  If you wish to answer a question, please raise your hand to be recognized. You must realize that all students must be questioned in order for the teacher to check for understanding. Discussion is encouraged.

6.  All materials and all books must be brought to class each day. You will not be allowed to leave class to go to your locker.

7.  Any material that is due on a certain day is to be turned in at the time the teacher requests it. It can be turned in 1 day late at the beginning of the next class. 20 points will be subtracted from the grade.  After that no late work will be accepted except in the case of absence.

8.  All work must be made up by the end of 7 school days. Please schedule work by giving the teacher a 2- day notice.

9.  On lab days please stay at your regular desk before going to lab.

10. Work only with your lab partner(s). Do not perform any experiment until all are together.

11. When working in the lab follow only those instructions given in the lab manual. Be sure to take note of any changes made by the teacher.

12. You are responsible for cleaning your lab station and placing all equipment back where you obtained it. Failure to follow this procedure will cost 20 points on a lab grade. If something is misplaced or left in the wrong location and the group who did this cannot be determined, all students will lose 5 points.

13. The student must replace any equipment broken or damaged due to negligence or from not reading instructions
